Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ is also available in Word and PDF format.

Before I jump in to answer questions I'm frequently asked, here are some basic guidelines.

Punctuality = Full Session

There's nothing worse than rushing into your appointment 5 minutes late. It may not seem like a lot to you, but when you factor in discussion of what you'd like to accomplish during your session and post-session discussion 5 minutes late adds up and COULD decrease your actual session by as much as 15-20 minutes. Do your best to arrive 5 minutes BEFORE your session so we can get started on time. Regardless of what time you arrive, I end my sessions on time to accommodate the client (or other plans) I have scheduled after you.

Hygiene
And PLEASE avoid cologne, perfume, and smoking prior to your session. You may think your cologne or perfume smells great, but I and many of my clients are highly sensitive to scent and your choice of eau de toilete may limit my ability to work with you.

Sobriety
Because of the nature of consciousness work I do, and in order to be able to "tune in" to you, it's imperative that the lines of communication are open and clear. Alcohol and drugs don't contribute to clear communication between your body and my intuition, so save the drink and/or pain medications for after.

Communicate
Please speak up so you can enjoy your session with me as much as possible.

Q: Will I need to fill out any paperwork before my session?
A:
Because I desire to protect clients from services that may be harmful to their health, I require all clients of Inner Connection, Inc. to fill out a health history (also available in Word Format) which gives me valuable information about your health, past or current injuries, and medications you may be taking.

Q: Is the information I provide you confidential?
A: Client information is considered confidential and will never be shared except with the client's written permission. That confidence extends to preventing me from discussing your friend's session, or your husband's or wife's last session with me. I know you're curious about your friends' sessions, but please make it easier for all, and don't ask.
Additionally, I consider it a moral and ethical obligation to report any criminal activity that might endanger the client's or others' safety, and will report such activity to appropriate authorities.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment or do you accept walk-ins?
A: Clients are seen by appointment only. For information or to schedule an appointment, please contact me.

Q: What kind of energy work do you do? Is it like Reiki?
A:I often get asked what kind of energy work I do. I am not trained in Reiki or Jin-Shin, but I would imagine all forms of energy work have a common component - INTENT - and working with the flow of Universal energy that is available to anyone.

I call the form of energy work I do Integrative Therapies because it's an integration of several kinds of healing energy work that I have pulled together from the various training methods and modalities that I have learned over the years, as well as guidance I receive from my Higher Self, Spirit Guides, Angels, and Ascended Masters throughout any given treatment. Integrative Therapies is a name I've developed to describe a customized approach to energy work utiliizing highly developed intuitive skills, channeling Universal healing energy, and hands-on healing.

Q: What kind of training do you have to do energy work? Is it a gift, or can anybody learn how to do it?
A: Everyone is intuitive. I like the analogy of a radio station. Most of us have access to radios, and we have a choice of what station to set the radio at. Intuition is the same thing; I have simply chosen to set my "station" at a certain frequency that allows me to tap into higher levels of consciousness than we are normally aware of.

I began my training following a severe car accident with a subsequent "miraculous" healing following 18 months of traditional allopathic therapies and being told I was going to have to live with a traumatic brain injury. That wasn't a viable option for me to live a joyful, healthy life, so I began seeking out anything that might help me get better.

Seeking out my own healing led me to begin my training in developing intuitive skills, which has evolved over several years and several teachers to include chakra and aura repair, healing, and reconstruction; advanced clarivoyant tools; deprogramming and releasing negative energy; understanding and aligning the energy centers of the body (meridians, chakras, energy pathways, etc.); tools to remove fear, pain, and other dense frequencies / emotions / traumatic patterns from the physical, mental, emotional bodies; Mother Mary and Christ-Force healings; working with healing guides; reading and healing past lives; balancing masculine and feminine energies; intuitive coaching; cellular rewiring & reprogramming; communicating with and healing animals; communicating with and channeling (also called trance-mediumship) spirit guides, healing guides, Angels, Archangels, Ascended Masters, and Creator; working with the personal power field; transmuting lower vibrations/energies/frequencies utilizing divine rays of light; working with and re-negotiating Soul Agreements with Guides and the Councils of Elders; and much, much more!

Q: Do you offer referral incentives?
A: Your referrals are the highest compliment you can give to the work I do. As my way of saying "Thanks for sharing," I do offer a referral incentive. If you refer anyone, please tell them to mention your name!

Q: What kinds of payment do you accept?
A: Payment is accepted in the form of cash, personal or business check, or you may use a credit card through the website by setting up a free secure PayPal account. If you elect to use PayPal you must pay in advance for your session and bring proof of payment with you (printed receipt).

If paying by cash I don't always have change available, so please bring exact change.

Gift Certificates are just like cash. If you are redeeming a Gift Certificate you must bring it with you in order to receive your scheduled treatment.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Appointments not canceled at least 24 hours in advance (non-emergency situations) will be billed at the full rate of the session scheduled, and future appointments will not be scheduled until cancellation / no show fee is paid in full. If you have received a gift certificate and cancel your gift certificate appointment with less than a 24-hour notice, the dollar value of the appointment scheduled will be deducted from the gift certificate value (forfeit) in lieu of billing you for the cancellation.

Q: Do your Gift Certificates have an expiration date?
A: Yes. Gift Certificates must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase. If you misplace your gift certificate, I do keep a computerized record of gift certificate purchases, so please call or e-mail to let me know. If you wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment to redeem a gift certificate you may not get an appointment prior to the certificate's expiration date, thus forfeiting your gift certificate. I recommend scheduling at least 30 days in advance of the expiration date.

Q: Do you offer refunds on Gift Certificate?
A: No, there are no refunds on Packages or Gift Certificates.

Q: I would like to use my gift certificate, but I realized that I allowed it to expire. Will you accept it?
A: Gift Certificates are honored for 6 months from the date of purchase. Please schedule your appointment at least 30 days in advance of the expiration date to ensure that you are able to redeem it.

Q: I was given a gift certificate but I don't really want the services you offer. What are my options?
A: Gift certificates are non-refundable, but you are more than welcome to "gift" the certificate to someone who would appreciate it. I will issue a new certificate with the new recipient's name on it. The original expiration date still applies.

Q: Is there anything else I should know before I schedule an appointment?
A: Yes!

  1. I reserve the right to refuse service to any client with or without reason.

  2. Please respect the time that you have reserved for your appointment by arriving 5 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled appointment time as I usually have a full schedule with clients scheduled before and after you. Appointments begin and end promptly. If you are late, you will only receive the amount of time left, and will be billed for the entire session.

  3. I consider it a priviledge and an honor to do work that I love. I do not engage in or solicit any type of inappropriate relationship with any client under any circumstances. Many times clients like their sessions so much that they would like to continue a relationship (friendship) outside of my office. Please understand that would create a dual relationship, making it difficult to maintain my professional focus on you during your sessions, so don't take it personally if I don't accept invitations to participate with you outside my office.

  4. I ask that you avoid wearing perfume, cologne, essential oils, or scented lotions or body products if at all possible (especially cigarette smoke). Many clients (including myself) are highly allergic to chemicals & synthetic scents. If you are wearing perfume or cologne, or have recently smoked a cigarette it may affect my ability to provide services to you.
